Our Rainbow

On January 21, 2011, we found out that Avery would be a big sister. We found out we were pregnant with our Rainbow Baby. It's not easy to be pregnant again. So many worries. No more pregnancy bliss.

Rainbow Baby - (n) A baby that comes after a loss. The rainbow after the storm.

Our Rainbow was due October 2, 2011, but was born at 31 weeks on July 31, 2011 when the placenta began to fail him, just as it did Avery. His name is Jude Wesley. He weighed 3lbs 1.1oz and was 15.5 in long. Jude stayed in the NICU for almost five weeks before he came home with us. I have a separate blog for him, if you are interested in following Jude's journey.
